Indian Army-Short Service Commission(SSC)-Army Medical Corps
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals both male and female who have passed their final MBBS examination for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Army Medical Corps. Applicants for who have taken more than 2 chances in final MBBS need not apply.

Vacancies : 300 posts
Eligibility: Candidates must possess medical qualification. Post Graduate degree holders i.e. MD/MS/MCh/DM may also apply. PG Degree in following subjects will be given preference (a) Anaesthesia (b) Surgery (c) Obstetrics & Gyenaecology (d) Medicine (e) Orthopedics (f) Respiratory Medicine. The applicant must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/ MCI. Candidates who will be complting internship by 30/09/09 may also apply.

Age : must not have attained 45 years of age on 31st Dec 2009.

Method of Selection : Eligible candidates will be called for interview by a Board of officers by a Board of Officers in the month of Nov 2009 at Army Hospital (Research & Referral) New Delhi, Near Daula Kuan, Delhi Cantt.

Pay : The candidates on commissioning in Army Dental Corps will be granted the rank of Capt. in the scale of PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.6100 plus MSP Rs.6000 plus NPA 25%. PG degree holder wil be eligible for PG Allowance of Rs.1000/- pm.

Tenure : The tenure is of 5 years extendable by another 5 years (total SSC tenure 10 years) for those who are willing to continue subject to laid down eligibility criteria.

Fee : One DD of Rs.200/- payable at New Delhi in favour of “Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (APF Fund)”

How to Apply : : Candidates should apply to the Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS)/ DG-1A, Ministry of Defence, ‘M’ Block, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi -110001, on a good quality A4 size plain paper giving particulars in the prescribed application form latest by 21/08/2009.

Indian Army-SSC Women Law Officer Apr-2010 entry
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals Law Graduates unmarried women for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army for Judge Advocate General Dept.

SSC Offices Law Graduate Women : 14 posts
Qualification : 55% marks in LLB Degree (3 years after Graduation or 5 years after 10+2), should also meet the eligibility criteria for enrollment as as advocate.
Age : 21-27 years
Pay Scale : PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.5400 plus MSP Rs.6000.

Eligibility Conditions:
Age : Between 19 to 24 years (candidates to be born between 02 July 1986 to 01 July 1991; both dates inclusive)Educational Qualifications : Applicant should be studying in AICTE approved College/Institution with one of the following disciplines and should have obtained a minimum of 60% aggregate marks till pre final year (Those in the final years need not apply):

For NCC 'C' Certificate holders

NCC Special Entry Scheme 27th Course April-2010 Short Service Commission (SSC) (Non-Technology) (OTA, Chennai) for Male & Female The Indian Army is looking for a few good Men and Women. For the best and the brightest amongst you. For men/women with intellect, idealism and courage. Applications are invited from unmarried/married male and unmarried female or widow of defence candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army.

1. Vacancies : 57 posts [50 posts (10% reserved for wards of Battle Casualties of Army only) for male and 07 posts for women]

2. Age : Not below 19 years and not over 25 years (not born earlier than 02 January 1985 and not later than 01 January 1991)

3. The Criteria of NCC 'C' Certificate holders to appear directly for SSB for SSC (Non-Technical) at Officers Training Academy, Chennai : (i) Educational Qualification : Degree of a recognised University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all years. (ii) Service in NCC : Should have served for minimum two academic years in the senior Division of NCC (iii) Grading : Should have minimum of 'B' Grade in 'C' Certificate Exam of NCC.

4. Wards of Battle Casualties : Holding of NCC 'C' Certificate at the time of filling of applications not required. Wards of Battle Casualties send their applications direct to Addl. Date. Gen of Recruiting, Recruiting NCC Entry, West Block-III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066. A letter to the effect that the parent has been killed/ wounded/ reported missing in action issued by MP/Date/ Respective Regimental Records and a copy of Part II Order notifying injuries and being classified as Battle Casualties in case of Service/Medically boarded out person. Last date for receipt of application at Rtg Date 15/09/2009 for this category.

5. Pay Scale & Stipend : Stipend during the period of training is Rs.21000/-. On completion they will be commissioned as Lt in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay 5400 and MSP and other allowances.

6. Method of Selection : All Applications in the prescribed format will be forwarded to Rtg. Directorate (NCC) through HQ DG NCC. The NCC Units/GP HQs will forward the applications to State Directorates who in turn will forward the same to Hq DG NCC. On arrival at the SSB, the Short listed candidates will be administered stage-1 of the two stage testing procedure.

7. Medical Examination : Candidates recommended by the SSB will go under Medical Examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers.

How to Apply : Apply on the plain paper as per the prescribed format. Applications should be posted to the Units from where the NCC 'C' certificate has been issued. Applications of candidates serving in the Armed Forces duly counter-signed by the commanding Officer should be sent to the OC, NCC West Block- IV, R.K. Puram, New Delhi - 110066. All NCC units will forward the application to DDG, NCC of the concerned state. DDG NCC will process all applications and forward them to Date Gen NCC.

B Last date of receipt of application at Rtg Date from Date Gen NCC - 01/10/2009
